Property Tax is Theft

The way property tax in this state is administered is nothing short of theft. Even if we assume that Property taxation of private dwellings is legitimate (and its not) we live in a State that has non-judicial process for taking the property of people who don't cough up.

Let me put this another way- they take your property if you don't pay. Period- no arguments, no due process, no courts, no judgments  no opportunity to defend or complain. In short they have decided we don't need no stinking due process if they want to take your home from you!

This flies against everything in our National and State Constitutions. It mean we don't have an actual right to own property to live on, means we don't have any opportunity to challenge wrongful, neglectful or improper taxation of our property. Even in income tax cases they avoid throwing families out on their ear into the cold, homeless. But for property taxes that is exactly what they do. They mail you a "Notice of Quit" and then if you don't pay up out you go.

Basically all they have to do is go through a process of generating paperwork. A few notices is all it takes and a bit of a waiting game to see when you can fork over the dough. The idea you might not owe it never even gets addressed.

And whats with "Tax Lien Mortgages" and "Notice of Quit" anyway? Aren't the words Mortgage and the phrase "Notice of Quit" instruments that are applied to contracts by which you use SOMEONE ELSE'S PROPERTY or someone else has a fiduciary interest in your property via contract? You bet your ass... which means... we don't actually own our property.

So, either property taxation is fraudulent, or we were lied to when they told us we are allowed to own land.
